Default Pioneer TV

I recently purchased a Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD and i installed it in my 2000 gs3. I can't get the DVD to work (e-brake bypass). I connected the green (video) and the ground together and connected them through the factory harness adapter. Do i need to ground it to somewhere metal on the car? Maybe to a switch? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

usually you need to ground the hand break wire from the deck with a switch inbetween

on the ahv-p4000 u cant just ground it fromw hat i remember, try reading the instructions on proper wiring and see what you would have to do to mimic it. u may also want to try avic411 i know ppl that have had issues with it working. for example on alpine radios u cant just ground it, it has to be ground then send a +12v signal instead of a ground signal from what i remember, they also sell a relay made by PAC that does all the work for you maybe they sell something similar for the avh 4000
