Main,

They will fit fine. The easiest thing to do is take the factory pod apart. Use the back half and cut the lip off till it flat but still has the inside lip. Once you get it apart you can see what I'm talking about. I used a 1/2" piece of MDF to make the front baffle. Covered it with fiberglass resin to seal so water wouldn't affect it. I cut the bottom part of the baffle out at the bottom back to give me more airspace for the driver. The Morel's I have need quite a bit of air space to operate efficiently. My factory door panels fit just fine.

Dynamated the inside of the door along with the outside of the door panel. You can see most in the pics.

I've been doing this type of work for over twenty years so for me it's not all that difficult. If you have any experience doing installs it won't be difficult.

My older SC400 below had twice the equipment in it as this car. It was really nice. I really miss it.

Turbo,

The pics for the older car are long gone. My old computer died along with all the pics I had of it. I wish I still had them too.

No progress of late on the car. It's hot as hell here in Texas right now so I've been procrastinating. I'll start again soon.

The only update I have is I installed a Gentex rear view mirror with homelink along with a blend mount for my Escort radar detector. I'll post some pics tonight.

Gentax Home Link mirror installed. A whole lot cheaper than the replacement home link visor. Blendmount installed along with my Escort radar detector. Turned out very nice.

what size drill bit and what grommet did you use for center console ipod hole?

Also do you have the dimensions of the wooden pieces above the gas tank? And is it removable?

Ryeno,

Got the grommet at the local hardware store. I think the size of the hole is 5/8".

Don't have the dimensions of the wood pieces. I just cut them to fit the JL amps.

I always used cans of rubberized undercoating from walmart vs dynamat. Pretty much the same thing. Stinks, but a whole whole lot cheaper

How did you get that sheet of metal behind the backseat to come out? I've been pulling for 30 minutes straight and it won't budge. ___
