Question '94 SC400 12 Disc Changer

My 12 disc cartridge will not eject out of the changer. I will also close the cover lid and just hear it trying to load over and over again. Is this fixable and should I just replace it?

Also, I hit the CD select button on my Factory Pioneer radio and nothing happens. Would the be related to the changer issue?

I did a search on here and didn't find too many answers for this.

I thought my CD changer was dead until I went investigating. I found that the previous owner unplugged both wire harnesses going to the CD changer (I have no idea why it works fine). When I plugged one in I heard it doing the same thing, but after cycling through it stopped. I say check the wiring harnesses on the changer.

I used my c.d. changer for the first time in 3 yrs. and it skipped everytime I hit a bump in the road and would not play certain tracks. I called circuit city to see if they would clean it for me and they said they dont work on cd changers. Im wandering if cleaning will help or if its time to take it out and forget it?
