i have a 94 sc300 i am aware that the 94's and lower do not "BEEP" when the doors are locked and unlocked. i need the beep because i have locked and unlocked my doors numerous times only to come back to the car later and realize that the doors were unlocked the whole time. how do i wire up a "beeper" or get a beeper from another SC 95+?. please help me.

 

If you could figure out which wire gets energize each time you press the button on your key, then you can wire up a horn to that wire and it should give you the beeping noise you want.

 

i dont want my car HONKING. i want the beep if it honks its annoying and reminds me of a HONDA. is the beep function a separate thing that i can wire up?

 

i think thats for aftermarket alarm systems. they are combined with a remote but seperare from the key.

 

so there is no way for me to get the lexus/ toyota beep?

the dealership should be able to lay out your options for this situation. sometimes the manufacturer of your car actually knows something too.
