Default My Trunk Is Done, For Now ...

Ok so after having subs sitting in my room for 8 months i finally decided to go buy an amp and have everything installed:

Subs: MB Quart Premium PWE302 12"
Amp: Sundown Audio SAZ-1500.1

So first off I took the GS in last Thursday to Cartronics for them to begin the work on my custom band-pass box, left the car there from 9AM till 6PM when I picked it up, and they left me a nice loaner box so I could have some bass for the weekend:

So I HATED the rattling of the license plate, rear deck, and everything else while I had the subs in the trunk, and couldn't wait to drop the car back off this morning. At 9AM I dropped the car back off and came back again today at 6, but they weren't done yet so I waited. They closed the shop down at 6:30 and I stayed inside with them, the finally finished at 9PM, this shows me alot, they stayed after hours to finish my car when they knew they didn't have to, plus instead of using vinyl to cover the box, they upgraded me to suede for free ... All in all the box came out great and sounds awesome, o yea they even dynamatted my license plate for me so it wont rattle lol, now I just need to dynamat the rear deck and I'm good to go

So anyways here's the finished product, i took them tonight right when I got home so the quality isn't that great

Custom Band-Pass box ported through the stock sub opening so all the pressure is in the cabin and not the trunk, Plexiglass windows to see where the magic happens, and two LED strips to make it look sexy at night O yea and the amp is hidden behind the box to keep it looking clean ... I'll try to take more pictures during the day tomorrow.

Comments and Opinions are welcome, enjoy !!

If you don't mind me asking, how much did all of that cost? I was looking into doing something similar. O yea, it looks really good

No I don't mind at all, I bought the subs for about $200 a piece or maybe a little less and the amp was $425. Then the total for the install came out to about $650 after labor, tax, materials and extras (plexiglass, LEDs, etc.).

So my grand total was about $1400 - $1500, plus I need to Dynamatt the rear deck which will probably run me another $100 - $150 ...

Thanks a lot! FYI, I got my trunk dynamatted and it ran me $300 installed at Audio Logic. You could definitely do it yourself, but I would rather have the pros do it. GL

Well it's loud let's put it like this, since all the pressure is inside the cabin, when I have the bass **** turned up halfway you can't talk if the windows are up ... And no I don't have the stock nav , I just have the regular factory Pioneer HU, I'll eventually be getting an Avic-D3 and swapping out all the inside speakers as well, but I'll save that for another time ...

Thanks for the comments guys, and also about the cleansweep info. I guess that could be an option, but I'm eventually planning on switching out all the interior speakers and swapping the factory HU for an Avic D-3 ... O yea and I forgot to mention another little detail of the install, I had the bass control **** installed in my ashtray ...

So far it sounds great, and I figured out what the rattling in my rear deck was. or under the rear deck I should say. In the trunk there is a bar running across the top portion (roof of trunk) which is what is rattling when the bass hits, when I pull on it slightly the rattling stops. I'm not sure what the bar is for, but is there anything I can use to keep it in place so it won't rattle?
