Default Navigation question

GPS nav systems are little electronic box, but you would think that extreme heat may damage the unit. For example, I live in Southern California and during a hot summer day, the interior of my car can get higher than 120 degrees Farenheit!!! Won't the GPS unit malfunction in the long run? Anyone ever heard or have this problem before?

Also, another question: anyone every heard of Navigon? They're suppose to be the premier up and coming company competing with TomTom, Magellan, and Garmin. Suppose to be really high quality, yet affordable. Here's one of the nav system from Navigon that I really like:

It smokes the competition spec wise.

Don't know anything about Navigon, but temps of 120F should pose no problems for a nav brain.

For those of you looking for a nice navigation system, Garmin has a brand new one coming out this summer. It's the Nuvi 255W 4.3" widescreen with street names, voice, and double the POI of previous Nuvi's. It's under $300 too which isn't bad for such a high quality product. I'm going to get that when it comes out. It's still not in any stores yet, let alone online stores. Coming soon though.

That's what it looks like. Love the color. Matches the interior color of the IS and comes with dash mounting kit too.
