Default nak amp not as loud/clear

Hi y'all. I just found a great deal on a sc400 nak amp and it plugs right into my 95sc300 pioneer w/ cd. So far, the amp plugs in fine w/o the sub ch. which I left running off the stock amp on the deck.

With the nak deck plugged in, the sound sux! Doesn't sound as clear or loud but once I swap back to the pioneer, it fixes itself. Did I pick up a bad amp? Should I run that direct power i read about? Do I really need to run the nak sub ch? I spent about 4 hours searching through all the threads....

Someone help please!!! What are the systems of a bad nak amp? Can I just use the nak amp for the front/rear speaker and leave the pioneer 1ch amp for the sub?

Thank you everyone in advance!

anybody? Pretty much, can I just use the nak amp to power my fronts and rears while leaving my 1ch pioneer to power my sub.

Also, how do I know the amp is fried?

Hey man, I just got a 2000 SC400 with Nak and it sucks too! I used to have a 95 with stock pioneer and it was MUCH better for some reason! I eventually ended up replacing everything, but the stock was still better than the Nak. Junk it.
