Hi, I'm new to the forums. I was looking for a thread on whether or not this was possible. However I could not find one...There is a 97 sc300 that I am looking to buy and I was curious if you can use a 99+ keyfob, cut to the car of course, to replace the 97's separate key fob and key. Thanks!
there are some shops that make a custom box to let you use the newer keys. almost did it on my 95, found it on craigslist, plug and play harness too.
Honestly, it is usually more hassle than it is worth. It might be easier for you to downgrade to the key with the button on the side maybe? maybe not? good luck
interesting...I wonder if they are still in business...does the internals fit into the oem casing? because it looks practically identical to the oem key otherwise.
