Subss....help?
So I built my own box, and installed 2 10" Polk subs in a box that I made, and put it in my trunk.
Opening the trunk and listening to them they sound alright. But when im in the front seat it sounds horrible on mmost songs, i think its the rattling from the rear deck thats making sound baddddddddd. How do i fix this?? Can i put foam under the rear deck to get rid of all the free space?
also..my amp sucks but right now i cant get money, so my subs are really being under powered. Do u think running a bridge connection to one sub will sound better then 2 underpowered subs?
Im still new tothis so any tips about this will help.
Also im playing my music through a Ipod--->Cassete-->Factory Navi
Rear stock sub was removed and wired are soddered onto a LLC then into the amp.
Did i do something wrongggg??

There could be many factor. What amp do you have? What sub is it and what's the spec on the box (how many cubic feet, and what type of enclosure is it?)
For your rear deck, you can add sound deadening material and ensolite foam to stop the vibration and rattle. The cassette setup is part of your limiting factor if you're looking for sound quality.
Where in CA are you? If you're close enough to me, I wouldn't mind looking over your system for you.

i believe the gas tank is betwen the trunk and back seat in your car just like in the LS. that means you need a lot of power to make the bass come through and some big subs. if i'm wrong never mind.
how much power do you have per sub?

If you took out the stock sub, you should consider making a band-pass box ported through the stock sub opening, that way all the pressure from the subs is pushed into the cabin instead of the trunk ... Also be careful when underpowering your subs, that's the quickest way of blowing them or damaging them, it's actually said to be worse then overpowering them ...
The best sound you will get with our cars in my opinion is to put a quality 10" woofer facing toward the front of the car, right behind the back seats middle arm rest.
I installed a JL 10w6v2 in this spot.. i removed the rear deck's support bars, and cut out a hole in the trunk carpet, sound deadaning, and finally the leather. Making a nice little 10" hole right into my trunk.
I cut the leather so that it sits flush right around the subwoofer. The armrest can still be put in normal position, but it will rest against the subwoofer so I keep it down unless i got 5 people in the car.
There is a little metal bump right behind the rear seat, which you can rest the sub box on top of so that it is slightly angled, matching the rear seat angle. The sub box is bolted down to the trunk metal so it wont budge.
This setup gave me absolutely no rattles inside and out, and awesome sound quality.

i got two POLK 10" DB's running on 60 watts each =/ (Powere4d by a Kenwood KAC-6202). Its in a sealed box made of MDF 3/4 inch thick all around, sealed with silicone. Its i dont remeber the exact cubic feet right now, but i remeber it was just a tiny bit over the recomended in the manual.
Im gonna order some of that Ensolite foam and stuff it in the rear deck so it has no room to move, rattle, and vibrate.

ok, the polks should do ok, as it looks like your gas tank isn't in between.
get some more power though. 60w isn't really enough ina big car. you can get a good 1000w rms mono amp for $200 if you look around. that will make thos polks thump.

Lay the foam down on the rear deck. Cut a hole where the OEM subs is so you can allow sound wave to pass by. When i did my rear deck, I added a layer of sound deadener plus ensolite foam. I dont really have any rattles from the rear deck, just the 3rd brake light rattling against the window.
