How to hook up amp & woofer with stock stereo?

So you're saying we can't tap into the sub wires for the converter?
Also, why use a converter at all? Is it possible to tap into the preamp signals (at the back of the deck) for the inputs into your new amp?

sorry to bother you guys i got my amp hooked up on my gs 300 i need help on the rca part (((((There will be a plastic housing right next to your free float. Cut the plastic covering about 5-10 inches to give you enough room for the next step. Cut the plastic covering tube in half roughly 5-10 inches. There will be a total of four wires connecting to your free float. Cut these four wires leaving 5 inches to the harness that connects to your free float. Remove the free float. Crimp the four wires roughly 2-3 inches. ( Make sure you do not mix and match these later on! )
Take your High low converter wires, and crimp them 2" and connect them accordingly to negative to negative, positive to positive. You will need two pairs of speaker wires for this step as there are two negatives, and two positives. ( only not already done so by factory. )
i found the 4 wires but i cant figure out wich are negative and wich are possitive and how to hook them up to my converter box please help...

Second, no need to answer then create multiple threads on the same thing - especially when a search would yield the results you need.
To determine the wires, use a small battery. Make sure you have the factory hooked up to the factory sub. Using short wires from the small battery, touch the terminals on the sub. When you get the sub to move forward, you have found the + and negative of that coil. If you are only using a single sub, these are the only two wires you need. If you are doing two subs and want stereo bass, the other two will need to be determined as well. Once you have them, follow the instructions on the LOC, and hopefully you read previous posts and didn't buy one that will only do 20 watts, as this lets out the magic smoke and sound goes away.

You gotta read the instructions since I don't know what you're trying to do (mono, stereo, which kind of LOC, etc). Honestly, once you have the wires from the car figured out, the rest should be gravy. If you're still not seeing it, might be time to pay someone to hook it up vs. blowing something up.
