Swap out stock amp for after market amp?
Hi guys, I am thinking that I want to swap out the stock non ML amp for an aftermarket alpine that I have. I have installed aftermarket speakers in the doors right now and they are being powered by the OEM amp. I figure if I take out the OEM amp and just use the wires of the OEM amp and connect those to my alpine that the install would be really straight forward as I wouldn't have to run a new power line, ground or speaker wire.
What are your thoughts?
Has anyone done this?

like wiring a subwoofer amp, you will need a power source, so that means you will need to run a power from your battery to your amp. it's not easy plug and play from factory to aftermarket. if you can locate it, you can find the remote wire from your factory harness and use that to power up the amp, but you will also need to locate which wires are for what so you can install an LOC, i suggest JL cleansweep
