Default Quick Audio Question

will the stock amp and sub be compatible with an aftermarket headunit? i have an i bought an ls400 with an eclipse headunit but i dont hear the subs working. any information would help. thanks

the sub has seperate amp installed behind rear wall panel in trunk. it probably was not connected by aftwermarket installer. it would be a 6 pin white plastic plug probably found behind the aftermarket unit. if you connect it up to power and sub output wiring it should work.

i uninstalled the unit and dont seem to see loose wires in the back of the headunit...i checked the amp in the rear and all seems to be hooked up... i did buy a 8 inch after market sub and will be installing it...do you suggest that i use an aftermarket amp or could i use the stock one? oh yeah and i got the car with an aftermarket radio. do you have pics of what the 6 pin plastic would look like? also i found a loose wire thats in the back panel of the trunk and was wondering if that is the wire for the oem cd changer? it kind of looks like an s video plug.
