Default Please Critique My Amp Choices!!

Okay guys, i'm going to be running 2 TC-1000's. They are SVC 4 OHM so i'm going to wire them to a 2 OHM load. The RMS on these subs are 500 Watt but i've been asking around and people are saying they can take much much more.

Here is what i'm looking at.

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...B.html#reviews
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+DK-2000D.html
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...BXi+1606D.html
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...h+GP2500D.html

Please tell me if i've come up with some pretty decent choices, or if they all suck.

Thanks,
Elliott

The only two decent ones are the JBL and the Hifonics. Power Acoustiks, Crunch aren't what they use to be

I remember Crunch used to be good back in the day. Sad to see them go

good choice on the subs, good to see someone who's not a brand snob.

the jbl is good. hifonics pretty good. all the others are ok. they wil lput out the power you are expecting it just may not be as clean and they will suck more current.
just to confuse you a bit more, check out sundown amps, elemental designs, cadence, and diamond audio.

I hate going with brand names and things that everyone else has. But thanks for the tips. I found that JBL locally for a very nice price and I think i'm taking it. Think I should be good to go with that one?

The TC2+ motor structure only uses a 2" voice coil. The thermal power handling is 500w. It can take more in short bursts but don't pound them with more for a long time. You also need to model them in your enclosure to make sure you don't push them past their mechanical limits with your amp.

You can still access the info using the Wayback machine - link.

Here's a crappy copy/paste from the link above for recommended car enclosures:
12TC-1000
Type Volume Diameter Len. / Mass Low Pass Fq PEQ/HPF Fq PEQ/HPF Q PEQ A
Sealed 1.4ft3 NA NA 80Hz 28Hz 1.6 +6dB
