Default Headunit install (sc300)

I just recently got a new headunit (JVC). Before I got this I just had the stock radio. I wired up everything correctly, but when you turn it on you hear no sound... Do you have to bypass the stock amp if you are running an aftermarket headunit? If so, which wires do you connect together on the "2" plugs. Thanks. This is a 92' SC300.

Also, do you have to do anything with the "12 disc cd changer" plugs? Thanks !

If you have any details on how you figured it out, it'd be greatly appreciated =) I just lost my amp this weekend...head unit appears to work fine, low bass seems fine outta the sub, just missing the other 6 speakers, all my mid range and all my highs =(

Just trying to decide whether I merely need to buy a new deck or a new deck and amp (basically, the CD changer in the trunk has been dead for years, therefore very little incentive to keep the factory head unit)
