I have just purchased a 97 lx 450 with the stock am/fm, cassette, cd changer system made by pioneer. The system is not working as the wires have been cut that go into the plug on the back of the deck from the amp to the deck. I do not have the plug. The dealer does not sell the plug nor does it seem to be available from any aftermarket sources. I am trying to find a plug and wiring harness that goes from the amp. to the stereo (15 wire harness) I only need the plug and app. 3 inches of wire. Anyone have any ideas or sources where i might be able to find that. The recyling yards haven't been much help as these vehicles don't often get totalled. Thanks

 

toyota dealer. ask for a theft kit for your radio. (a plug with pigtailed wires.) you'll have to do the 3 inches of wire yourself..

 

i wasnt aware that the toyota dealers sell any connectors theft of other wise. .i am sure that lexus dealers dont. you have to buy the whole harness for about 200.00 last time i checked. i have the 15 pin radio plug you need from a salvaged lexus. most slavage yards wont just sell the connctors so they are hard to get. this will be the external amp lexus toyota radio connector that your 97 lx450 came with. it has the 3 inches of wire .i also have the 12 pin cd changer connctor if you need that too. i also will send a color copy of the 97 lx450 elcetirical manual coveing the correct radio wire colors to the connctor for a fool proof reattachment. you donr want to wire it back incorrectly.email me at pioneersuby@woh.rr.com for details.
