Default bluetooth problem with es350

Just bought my new es350 today (!!), and could not get the bluetooth to recognize my palm treo phone. The phone says the connection is complete but the car didn't. The website for Palm says they are compatible with Lexus Bluetooth (manufactured by Denso), however the Lexus site's page on Bluetooth doesn't include Palm phones in their list!

Any helpful suggestions would be most welcome.

After the treo says connection complete, make a call from it... this should make it connect.

I have problems with the treo also. There is a little work-around. If you go to www.jetwaremobile.com and download that little program you can get things like signal strength and battery, however, you still can't transfer phone number effectively. It will show dialed and received calls, from there you can add those people to your phone book on the Lexus. Anyway, that is the workaround I am using for now...hopefully the new treo will be better.

Only the verizon and sprint Treo 650s will transfer phonebooks. If you have one of those, then pm me and I'll let you know how to transfer them. Otherwise, you have to use another phone to transfer the phonebook to the car. Let me know, and I'll help you as much as I can. I can also answer questions about anything related to the Lexus Bluetooth System, Navigation system, and related topics.

You were able to make it work on the Verizon Treo (Windows Mobile)?

I also have problems getting the ES350 to find my treo 680. Since it is not windows based, can not use Jetware. The 680 is the last Palm OS based Treo, I think. The treo can find the ES350 but not the other way around. Any help? really appreciate it. thanks
