Default "Code" Needed to Release Radio Antenna Mast Cable?/Roy

Good Morning Everyone,
Roy Dudley here. I'm a new member and already could use some "adult supervision" from the group! I want to replace my radio power antenna mast on my 98 SC 300. I can remove the silver nut at the antenna base, and then turn the radio "on" to raise the antenna and start spooling out the plastic cable...However, at the last minute the cable stops, retracts a bit, and won't budge any further. I think there is some kind of "code" you enter at the radio console by "holding down certain buttons" and then turning the radio "on" to get the display to show "ANT"...which then lets the cable come all the way out. Anybody heard of this? And, do you know the right codes? Is there a different method? Thanks everyone! Looking forward to hearing from you.

All the Best,

Roy Dudley

welcome,
i just did this last night on my 92 ls400.
hold down the AM and CD or TAPE button simultaneusly and while holding turn on the ignition to ACC(you dont have to start car).
Most say you need 2 people for this. i did it myself. when you do the button thing and it shows ANT, just leave it and go assist the mast out. put the new one in with the thread facing the rear and keep feeding in until it hits a dead end. then go shut car off and run back to assist the mast in.
goodluck
