i did a search and came up with something that sounded similar. i did what was instructed and could not get it fixed.

i went checking for problems first by holding onto the switch that activates the cassette platform motor to move down; that way i can diagnose while the cover is open. whenever a CD feeds into the unit, it will go in halfway. on top of that, the unit itself makes a very loud ticking noise every time it attempts to grab a cd and read it. any advice?

 

take it to the dealer, i'm sure its covered under warranty
