Default Amp needed?

Hey guys my stock amp craped out and the fact that my cd player dosn't work i was thinking about just getting a head unit, the question i have is will a head unit w/o a amp power all 4 speakers? This is just a temporary fix until i can afford what i really want.

its not that easy i don't believe...if your stock amp crapped out then whatever new headunit you put in wouldnt make sound unless you bypassed the crapped out amps. But yes, if you hd a 60x4 headunit, it would make them all work! It really wouldnt be that much more money to get a decent small amp. 150 bucks could get you something that would work great.

Hmmm.... I got a question. As of right now, my Head Unit is working okay, but whenever it gets really hot outside my CD player starts to skip from time to time. Anything I can do about that?

In my situation, my stock Sub went out. =/ I've got a JL Audio IB4 12" that I wanna have custom fitted into the stock location where my blown one is. I should be getting a JL Audio 250 watt amp soon also. Do you know whether or not I can simply rewire and replace that and still keep the stock headunit?

As far as your cd player skipping, if its old, you are kinda screwed. As far as custom fitting the 12..that is going to be a time consuming job. the hole in the rear deck lid is not big enough at all to just drop a 12 in. However, if you somehow figure it out and make it fit, yes you can wire it up with your amp and keep your stock head

Yeah I know custom fitting the 12 is going to be really time consuming. LOL that's why I'm having a shop do it. I don't think I can do it myself. Yeah I think I may be getting a JL Audio 250/1 amp to push it once I get some time to take it in to the shop.

good luck man..they are probably going to recommend another option for you just because as you know, a 12 in the rear deck is really tough and you may be like 1% of all sc owners that do it.
