Question Pioneer AVIC-N@ Bypass Question??

ok so i've got the AVIC-N2 and i gotta get the thing bypassed so i can, or rather my passengers can watch DVD's while the car is moving. But i came across 2 good ways to bypass it, one is removing the sticker on the bottom and soldering the points, the other is by connecting RCA's to the back up camera outputs and runnig movies like its a back up camera.

The questin is, does anyone know if its safe to solder the two points under the unit? Because i've heard that it works most of the time, but the other times it fries the $2,000 unit

i heard you can do it with a solder pen also. which is safer then dropping hot solder into that hole.
