I'm looking for a isolation box now to fix that.
I have 3 rca outs from the motherboard into an Alpine 5channel amp. Sounds great, bass hits pretty hard too...

Looks good Tony!

Here is a pic of one I recently finished for a fellow member. Very similar to yours. Primered and ready for final coat of BLACK. The opening is for the 7" Xenarc screen.

you can use your old computer, or build one from scratch. Carputers are not expensive by any means... fabrication you can do it yourself... install is just like car audio.

I had that one made for a fellow So cal guy. He kept on bugging me so i helped him out...He's picking his up tonight.

Just to keep this thread on topic, I DO NOT sell anything here. Just posting what type of fabrication jobs people can do. I have been doing this for a while now...

Yeah i get that alot also about my carputer.. gotta love it...

Only thing is i'm running a Mac mini and I'm using a frontend called "AMP".
Its hooked up to 2 audiobahn amps powering MB Quart speakers.

Here's an old pic. I'm actually redoing it I may be going 10" screen.

You didn't get a touchscreen? I see that huge mouse next to your shifter...

The GS's have much more room to work with, I'll be lucky if I can fit a 8" screen in there nicely...

I recommend using a Firefly remote control instead of a mouse. I am using it for my HTPC and it will also be my control device for the carPC. It runs off of RF so you don't need a line of sight and buttons are very customizable.

I do have the touchscreen... but i have the mouse for back up I actually have the Apple bluetooth mouse + keyboard now.

Your right as far as space goes.... i did measurements for the 10.5" and it will fit. The SC definitely doesn't give you that much room

You can browse Mp3car.com for the software. They also have their own "StreetDeck" software, but that'll cost ya some $$.

Total cost depends on how crazy you want to go, it can probably be done under $1k for a decent setup.
