Pretty sure they are 5" so 5.25 should go in the stock location with a little modification.

I have 5.25s in my car. Had UE install it but they messed up pretty bad, i redid it. Seems easy enough tho, a little dremmel work and duck tape will do the trick. Yes, ducktape.

Be really careful so that no part of the cone is touching the door panel. You'll be able to see that once you have the window switch (wood grain) off.

My speakers were too close to the door panel so i took a mini hand torch (size of a lighter) heated it up and shaved the plastic with a razor blade. Then sanded the circle flat and sealed with duck tape. I don't have a Dremel so thats why i used a torch. Got the job done!!

Good luck

I have 6.5's in mine. I dont have the stock pod anymore though. I took a piece of 1/4" of HDF and trimmed it to match the basic outside shape of the stock pod. Used some another small piece of HDF to fill the gap and covered the whole door skin and speaker pod/spacer in a "dynamat" type material.

I think they did a very good job at the stock enclosures for each speaker, i thought that was very neat when i took the doors apart and saw that, but you are right when it comes time to upgrade it will take some work making everything fit right. on all the systems i ever had, sealed enclosures seem to thump the hardest and sound the best.

I concure. I was thinking about doing a fiberglass shell or tupperware container behind the 6.5 but it barely clears the glass on the back and the door panel on the front, as it is.
