umm, how about a breakdown of what you're getting for $4400. which navi? what else are they installing? an AVN6610 is around 1800 or so and install is usually around $200 for them, at least that's what we charge.
hahahhaa, there's more than $5000 worth of product lining the headliner of the car

And if you click on that image it'll take you to more pix of that ford excursion. That install was about $70,000 once it was finished.
i looked at a lot of their stuff. a lot of it is really nice, and then there's a decent bit that's eh...but for the most part they do good work.
the green supra is a guy i know through SF.com
ok, all eclipse speakers and sub too? if they were using the standard eclipse coax speakers they were rippin you off something fierce

Components consisted all of eclipse, the AVN6610 Double Din Navigation, SW8000 10" Subwoofer, XA1000 Mono Block, XA2000 2 channel Amplifier, and SC8565 Components, Not sure how many of the components I need, I believe it might be 2 sets since I have 2 6 1/2" Openings on front and rear doors. In the back was a simple layout, no fiberglass or anything too fancy, just the 10" and the Amp Mounted with wires tucked. Not sure if they had supplied in the price to put dynomat in the trunk, but I'd like to have it atleast in the trunk, but also a price if you dynamated the doors and whatever else would that would need it. They had also stated the car would be complete in 3 days, which is great because I have a fulltime job so I'd need to be places. They had stated 3k for equipment, and 1k for install. Any professionals have any other suggestions as for the equipment? I'd like the install for be more or less near the 3k region rather than 4400. Im sure I could go online and save myself a couple hundred $ if I bought some used or from some discounted websites but Im wondering if all eclipse components are truely necessary.
The music I listen to is pretty wide ranged. Could range from Queen to A Tribe Called Quest, or Bob Marley to Thrice. So you get the general idea for my taste in music.
So that in mind thats their reason to use eclipse. But IMO I think they just use that because thats their leading supplier. They can use any other kind of components throughout the system but I am not a professional in the field so any kind of advice to lower that price would be greatly appreciated guys.

Doesn't sound like they included the price of the sound deadening, but so far it seems pretty fair ($3k for equipment, $1k for labor). Best thing is you get the authorized manufacturer's warranty (provided they are authorized by Eclipse). Taxes obviously suck, but you can't avoid that. The equipment you are getting is actually pretty nice stuff. Make sure you post pictures!
that doesn't sound too bad. plus you'll get $200 back from eclipse with their special they're running on their AVN products at the moment.
MAKE SURE they register the navigation unit to you, so that you can get your extra 2 year warranty and the 1 year theft warranty.
i haven't heard this years' new eclipse components, but i've heard that they are pretty decent.
