I have a 99 Lexus GS300 2G

Recently, the passenger seat belt light/sign (right next to the clock) has been continuously on whether someone is sitting on the passenger seat or not, and whether the seat belt is buckled or not; it is just continuously on.

As you know the seat belt sign is usually off when no one is sitting, it flashes red when someone is sitting and the seat belt is not buckled and goes off when the seat belt is buckled.

I went to the dealer and they asked me for $109 to JUST DIAGNOSE! What a bunch of losers.

If you guys have any ideas, I would appreciate it.

You have 2 options: Fix the problem, or fix the lamp.

Fixing the problem could be expensive if the pressure sensor in the seat is faulty. It could be a wire loose under the seat, so have a look.

The cheapest way to solve your problem is remove the bulb!!
