Default Aftermarket Antenna

I was wondering if anyone out there uses one of those stick on antenna that you could get a crutchfield or amazon. I have a SC400 and was thinking of using one of those rather then fixing the stock one. They could be had for like $20 and wonder if they are any good or not.

I went to autozone and bought a universal one that you can push all the way down or pull up for $10-. Looks just like the motorized ones and works great.
