Tinting on an '03 GS430
I've read through several threads regarding the impact of tinting on the nav/radio system and possibly the rear defroster. It seems the opinions are quite mixed on whether the tint will cause interference, but based on the number of people who've had it done it's obviously possible to tint your car without causing problems. It sounds like I should stay away from metallic tints, though the consensus wasn't even 100% on this either. I just want to minimize the impacts on the audio aspects of my car as much as possible. Can anyone tell me exactly where the gps sensor is located in my model? I've seen some say it in the rear window and others say on the dashboard. Any other suggestions for tinting? Appreciate the help!

Looking into the trunk of the car, on the right side of the subwoofer, it's the small black box that sticks out, that's the GPS antenna...
I just recently got my tint done, non metallic just in case as I read on here that some people had trouble...

GPS indicator not on all the time
Thanks for the info. Got the tint done and I'm very happy with it. But now that I have it I'm wondering if it did have some impact on the navigation. I didn't look at the gps indicator on the nav display before the tint job, but I noticed now that it goes off occasionally, even while just driving through the neighborhood. We don't have that many trees and no buildings taller than 2 stories. I would estimate it's on probably 70-80% of the time. Is this reasonable or reason to worry?
