Stereo Question
Hello All,
By any chance has anyone tried to add an amp to the rear speakers of a 95 (or so) ES300 using high level inputs directly
from the existing amp? I hooked up some new 6x9's and the stock amp does not have enough power to drive them (unless my new speakers are bad). I figured if I could just put in a new amp for the rears that might work but I'm not sure if I will get any bass since I don't know if they are filtering the low frequencies to the rear speakers. Any help would be great.

well.... you can buy a 2 way amp and install the speaker in the High Frequency level as you said in order to have more power on those speakers. The only problem is that you MAY experience a low noise level when you press the acceletator... this may be fixed by a noise filter which is really easy to install.
What kind of amp are you looking to buy?
what kind of 6x9 do you have now?

I already had a Pioneer 100 watt amp with Pioneer 6x9's. I figured since all I had to buy was a high level to low level converter it would probably be worth a try since I already had the other stuff laying around.
