I was told that if you switch on the headlights 3 times while the unit is loading, I can watch the DVDs while in motion?

you just need to find the trigger switch. the wire that it uses (either a grounded switch or powered) and connect it respectively. easy to do no matter what unit you use. but, (not preaching) driving with a movie in is crazy dangerous. i did the bypass on my deck but had the self control not to look at it while driving. my wife enjoyed the movies but given the busy streets of Naha okinawa i could chance getting sucked into a movie. great choice of in dash BTW!!!

i take it you've never tried a bypass on an AVIC-N1.....

the Z1 is a great unit though, don't get me wrong. If I hadn't gone eclipse I probably would have done that one.

(ligths) you only have to do it once and just the parking light will do, but than can get old. for all Z1's made after 8/06 i think you only have to add a ground wire into one of the pins in the unit. the avic site has all the info.

88supramki, yea i heard about that, but not sure. maybe the avic site has some info on that. my unit was June model. installed flasher to bypass, forget the lights thing
