I looking at getting a double din head unit soon...but what shoudl i do with the stock volume ****

Really nothing you can do with it aside from rodoing the entire center console.

thanks for the advice...what sub and conponents speak combo would be good..im looking for real clean soundwithout overwheling bass..

Ive got Alpine Type X in one car and Focal in another. ...both sound GRTEAT and wont break the bank
