sub upgrade help
I have a 03 gs 430 w/ the mark levison package. I would like to get more bass from system. I have read some posts about changing to a 10" sub and adding an amp. My question is what has been done to make it sound good. Did you use a low level line converter from the original sub wires? And did you just drop a free air sub in the place of the Mark Levison sub? Can you guys give me input on what to buy exactly, sub, amp etc...
my setup is an Alpine amp, MRP-M200
sub is A/D/S A10S
i bought a pre-made sealed enclosure which fits perfectly in the nook in the truck behind the passenger seat
i removed the stock sub leaving a hole there in the rear deck to let sound in, with the original grill back in of course
my amp has high level input so it didnt need any low level converter although i did buy one which is just sitting around doing nothing
i dont need overly loud bass but my setup reproduces tight bass and pretty high sound quality IMHO
btw there are a lot of threads in the audio section so feel free to use the search function and read up more about it
