I believe mine is ripped at the seams. Depending on the amount of bass in the music, I can hear the speaker rattle. I'd also like to know if there's a good direct replacement.
Ya mine to and if they are so good why did it blow. The dealer wants I believe 400 to 500 to replace at that price I would rather get a really nice sub
it's an 8" free air with just about 2.5" of clearance. it probably has enough room to accomodate a 10" sub, but the depth is very limited unless you get some custom work done and don't mind the magnet protruding into the cargo area. if you are serious about a good sub, your best option is to relocate the sub. i read from other posts that the amp is good enough for low power sub, but not enough to drive a big sub.
it probably will fit provided you get a custom bracket and you have to cut out trunk lining to allow magnet to protrude. make sure you get the right ohms rating. the other consideration is that the JBL may be designed to work with a sub enclosure not free air.

I wonder if one of these would fit. 2.5" mounting depth. JL Audio TW5
