I bought a Alpine CD deck (CDA-9857) and want to put it in myself.

I have everything I need but I have a wiring question.

Here's my question. Would the new deck use the Lexus built in AMP or does it use the amp in the deck?

I'm not quite sure if I wire the harness(SVEN4) after the amp or before it. Any help would be appreciated. I bought a SVEN4 to plug into the deck but I'm not sure where it plugs into the cars system.

You're going to want to use the amplifier built into the new head unit. Remove the old head unit and amplifier as they will only get in your way and confuse you.
