Default which would u prefer?

i have gone thru search and read alot about these units. but this thred is more specific. just wanna know what to do. Main goal is to achieve a system where i don't have to swap the nav disc when i want to watch dvds.i already bought the eclipse 2545 but am contemplating on other units before installation.

pioneer Avic D1 or D2 + 6 DVD changer in trunk or glove compartment
OR
Eclipse 2545 or 5495 (with or without and external DVD changer in trunk or glovebox).

please pick one and in simple words state why?
any other options preferred can be added.

What? Why? I love my changer. No need to fumble with DVDs or CDs while driving. And on long distance hauls, this is a big bonus.

I totally agree .
problem is I just need a changer that can be controlled thru the headunit or a good locationto mount the red eye sensor for the aftermarket Dvd changer .

You saw the location of mine. The only downside is you have to hold the remote up a little higher to get it to read. I have to hold the remote at about shoulder level or the signal won't go through.
