Question 92'-00' Door speaker replacement!!!

How do you remove the door panels to get to the speakers in the door without damaging the panel along the top part of the door? This was answered before, but I can not find it...

I'm finally getting around to changing them<procrastination >, now I can not find the thread.... that figures....

I have a SC400...

*** Also what is a good speakers for $110 pr. for the front w/stock system.

*** What sizes can I use there? 4", 4x6", 5 1/4" or ???

*** Should I go with the component set up(4 or 5" mid bass w/seperate tweeter)... Or 3-way speaker?

**On the woofer side I read so many different opinions on the 10" free air type. I want a good replacement to use with the stock system/amp. Nothing fancy just better than stock...

Thanks for the info again...

hello,

you can custom and make it fit any size.

i believe the stock one is 4'

you want to pay $110 for a pair front speakers? $110 fits to sony, pioneer, and kenwood, (etc). however; i will try to get something better and little more expensive since it's going to be on the front doors.

are you going to install them by your self??? or how much are you going to pay for installation? if you get $110 speakers and pays $100 for a installation doesn't make sense...

lexus isn't as easy as honda's.

2 ways are the best and if you have some extra $$$, 3 ways are fine too.

i found out none of 10' free-air sub is good enough. but, some company makes them.

I and a friend are doing the replacement... To save the $$$ in the installation cost! Plus, I have a lil' experience in installing stuff in my other cars over the years...

What speakers do you reconmend that is not high in $$$?

I just need the road map for the SC doors to not go in there blind...

i would say go with focal...

focal 165h it's 6.5 mids., 1' tweeters and 2 crossovers.
it's only like $150 on ebay.

the retail price is like $300, so $150 is pretty good for a new set. i am sure you can't get anywhere that price except ebay. just make sure it's not returned or refurnished and brand new.

i had 165H before on my prelude and i liked it. compare to other $150 alpine or sony. it's the best comp, you can get for that money.

see why people look for focal than mb quart or ads.
and you will find out why when you really try them out.
