So I removed my backseat to verify and eliminate some squeeks and rattles and came upon a disconnected cable taped to a wire. It seem to be part of the navigation system but all connections as far as I can see is there. Navigation is working fine and tracking true. Does anyone have any ideal where the goes and what equipment it may belong too?

 

looks like an extra attenna plug?

 

its the old analog phone antenna cable.

 

Thanks for the info. I was wondering if something was disconnected during sub install. But I don't have a phone installed in the car. Must be from the previous owner.

 

Your GS was prewired at the factory for a dealer installed phone. My LS was also and I tapped into the prewire phone harness, including the antenna cable, when installing my aftermarket phone kit.

 

yea, i opened my trunk up a few weeks ago and i found the same wire, its the prewired cell cable.
