Default ML Drivers Speaker

Hi all, i recently got my car from my dad and the driverside speaker doesn't sound like the rest of them. It use to cut in and out (out sounding like it does now) It sounds like it's muffled, like the midrange isn't on or something but the bass works fine and the tweeter works. (Are they component speakers with the seperate bass and midrange or is the speaker just not getting the right signal from the headunit? Are the ML speakers actually different from the non ml systems? I know it's not the amp because i just had to replace the amp as the old one had died.

never mind, went and listened closer today and messed with the settings on the stereo, the tweeter is dead. doesn't make a peep, tried to jiggle it a little bit, got nothing.

anyone have an idea how much it would be to get a new one?

are they different from what i might pick up and have them install at a circuit city?
