Okay this is the second time my sub blew in my 2003 Lexus LS430 UL package. The first time it blew I went back to the dealer and paid 300 to get it replace/fixed!!! Is there any way i can buy a better sub and and install it myself? If so can someone give me directions as how to intall a non factory subwoofer in the factory location. I beleive it behind the middle rear seat point up, correct? Also what size is the sub in the LS430 UL package?

Also if it is possible would it be better to replace the sub with a Free-air sub? Do you guys know of a company that makes a good free-air sub in an 8 inch?

 

Infinity makes a Perfect series free air sub, not sure on sizes though... beautiful sound though
