alpine changer
hopefully one of the audio gurus can help me with this... but i have an alpine ai net cd changer... about 5 years old. anyways, my hu was stolen but they left the changer. my quesiton is, is there a way to get my cd's out of the changer without power from the hu? thanks in advance!
i'm looking at the changer cable now and they're not pins... so it's difficult to see the leads. how will i know which lead is the 12v lead and won't i need to figure out which is the ground lead too?
hmmm this is what the connector on the changer looks like...
is there any way to tell what leads are what in that pic? im trying to avoid having to cut open the cable and looking at the wires in there.

Actually, just take it to a stereo shop and see if they can plug it in to one of their demo units and then you should be able to pop out the cartridge.
