Default guys I need your input

I have a jl 12w7 sub, and I have 2 sets of boston acoustics proseries for the mids and highs.

I was going to run the sub with a PPI 21400.2 and run the mids and highs off of a PPI 4800.2. When I went and bought the sub, the shop told me they would void the warranty if I used the 21400.2 on the 12w7 because it is too powerful. So I sold both PPI amps, and I purchased a JL Audio 1000/1. Now for the mids and highs, I am debating should I get a JL Audio 300/4 or should I pick up another PPI 4/6 channel amp? Anyone who has the JL 4 channel amps, are they any good? or should I stick with a PPI 4 or maybe even a 6 channel amp. I don't mind mixing amps, If I do I would probably hide the PPI and keep the JL visible or the other way around. Or do you guys this I should stick with all JL amps?

I am asking because I know what the PPI amps are capable of, but I don't know anything about the JL 4 channel amps.

I forgot to mention, for the price of the JL 300/4 I can pick up a nice PPI 4/6 channel amp in mint condition for a little cheaper.

The JL 300/4 is just plain stunning for performance. Any other amp within the price range would be a sacrifice.

Those older PPI amps are really good. I would bet that there isn't much of a difference between the PPI and the JL amps.
For cosmetic reasons I would go with the 300/4 to match the 1000/1, but if you are comfortable with the older PPI amps go with that (I actually like it better).
BTW, w7's usually can handle more then advertised, you should have kept the 21400.2 and left kept the gain and Q bass set low.

I know I should have kept the 21400.2, I'm feeling real bad that I sold it, plus it was brand new , its just that I went to 2 places and told them I would be running it on the 12w7, and they told me that they wouldn't warranty the sub if anything happened to it, since I was using this huge amp to run it. But I regret not keeping it and saying the hell with the warranty. I think I will be going with the PPI amp for the mids and highs.

i still have over 10 old school art series amps ranging from 1200.2 to a200.2, they just dont make amps like these, sure there were amps in the same running like orion hcca, zapco.,etc... but the they don't make it like they use to.
