Anyone used these amps?
Im searching for decent amps. I have 4' infinity 42.7 in the front and 5.25" Infinity's in the back. They are rated 150 and 180 max respectively. I was wondering if anyone used alphasonik or hifonics amps before? If so how did they sound. I dont want to spend too much on the system since the bulk of the money is going into the carputer

alphasonicks and hifonics are both garbage, a decent amp for a good price is gonna be the infiniti or the rockford (that's only IF you don't ahve a lot of money to spend). if you want a littkle better, get an alpine amp.
I have been running various Rockford Fosgate amps for the past 10 years or so. The Punch amps are workhorses, and I have pounded the crap out of them. My current set up is a Punch 500X on the Infinity components and a BD1000 driving Eclipse DVC Alum 12's. All powered by an Eclispe AVN 5435 Nav. I was running the Alpine DVA 7998, but decided to redo it with the nav unit a few months ago.
Bottom line is that the RF amps are good stuff. Alpine, Pioneer, Orion, JL Audio, Fosgate, Eclipse are all on my reccomended list though.

Hmmm good insight. I didnt think that alpine made good amps nor pioneer or kenwood... I'll check those out. Now what about subs? Im thinking of one 12 in a ported box. Something that will get low end bass also. I listen to hip hop, reggae, and HOUSE!!!! lol

One JL 13W7 will blow away my 2 12'S. But the W7 will cost about $400 more than my Eclipse's did.
There's a lot of junk subs out there, and name brand subs that suck too........

Ummm im tryna go atleast 4-500 rms. My old set ups were a 5 channel aura amp with a audiobahn 10 (in a hyundai) the old audiobahn subs. then i got a polk momo sub which sounded good. Then went with a no name volfenhag amp which surprisingly was pretty good. and that best buy subwoofer enclosure made by dual. Believe it or not this wasnt bad set up. set off alarms all the time but i sold the car and got the lex! I dont wanna put cheap sh.... in the lex But leaning towards volfenhag again, if i do go with them again I want atleast a good sub in a ported box this time.

I just bought these 2 amps.. they were recomended to me.. Got them at Cardomain (GREAT PRICE) They sold out of the 1200d [subwoofer amp] if you search you can find them. i paid 375 for this amp.

You paid $150 for your eclipse?
13w7s can be found for $550 now. They are definitely bad-*** subwoofers. I love JL Audio subs
Used W7's?
I've had the Alums for about 3 years now.........I would have gone with 10W7's, but they were just too damn much cash at the time. Not to mention my BD1000 was a little on the low side to push them......
