Why dont you pull out the radio and run the wire through the air vents, and tap into the cigarette plugs power supply. It might be a little bit more work than you want to do, but I think it would be worth it.

Ohhh, sorry, I just woke up. I thought you just meant keep it plugged into the lighter..my fault. Removing the clock seems like a pretty cool idea, I dont think I could do it by myself, but then again, I dont even have a radar. hehe.

This isn't my car, i just jacked the pic from ebay. Anyways, what i was thinkin was run the wire along the left side of the mid console and hardwire it into the cig lighter.

1. How do you take off the little cig lighter bay and ashtray off??

2. How do you hard wire it in to the cig lighter

Open the ash tray, and pull it straight out.

To hardwire it, you will have to find out which wire is the 12v power supply and splice into it with the radars power supply.

Its not hard, but when you put the ash tray back it may not fit because of the wire going into the rear. I dont know though, Ive never had to do that before and leave a wire exposed like that. I still say you run the wire through the air vents, behind the radio, and down to the ash tray. It will look cool like that.

Default Radar Warning Power

Does your GS have a Moon roof? Thats how I got power for my XM Roady.

Here are the instructions for an RX.

On my previous car I just ran the wire to the upper console. The detector sat above the rear view mirror. Out of the way - out of sight. Some people say the tint on the upper portion of the glass affects the detector's ability - but it seemed work fine for me.
