Default sc300 wire harness

I searched CL and no one has any mention of a wiring harness for the sc, has anything changed? Anyone find anything? I know there's a lot of aftermarket headunits out there, is everyone just hard wiring it?

Thats what I ended up doing. It doesn't look like there is an easy solution to this except to just wire it yoruself !!

hardwiring isn't that big of a deal. if you look around for a little you'll be able to find all of the wire codes. or let me know if you can't and I'll get them from work.

if youre talking about wiring a new headunit, buy the metra harness for toyota premium sound...that works for the power, ground, etc. the speakers get their signal from the factory amp, which is under the cd changer...the regular toyota harness plugs into that (comes with two plugs, one of em fits...the other you dont use). why chop up your cars harness if you dont have to....

theres the one for the power/battery/ground/antenna. i tried using the rca's at first on it to run thru the factory amp and it sounded like crap...and had engine noise.

I have the wiring diagrams from the lexus repair manual, I was just looking for a short cut. Does the pioneer system have a trunk amp or only nak? Is the 97 ls pioneer radio the same as the one for an sc by any chance? They have a harness for that...

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but if I get this right you're saying you need TWO metra kits. One is the "toyota premium sound" harness, the other is the "regular toyota" harness.

You buy the "toyota premium sound" harness to wire up the power/batter/ground/antenna.

You use half of the "regular toyota" harness to wire up the speakers (via the factory amp), and then chuck the other half.

Correct?
