is it worth getting one of these for 1700$?.... i would like to hear the pros and cons for this item.

also, i heard if you have one of these nav systems, your steering wheel controls will not work.. is this true?

there are companies out there that make adapters for steering wheel controls, that shouldn't be at the top of the list when purchasing an aftermarket headunit

kgh: when the screen is out, does it block your a/c vents? or you able to play dvd's while driving?

 

I have a ES so i does block my vents, and you can play dvd's while driving if you do the solder trick. It works like a charm.

 

for that much money, I think you are better off gettin either an eclipse or an alpine unit.

but I would HIGHLY recommend waiting about a month or so. All the new stuff will be shown at CES...from what I hear there are some crazy things coming out for 2006!!!
