it took me a couple of days to do the bezel because i was doing it after i got home from work and put the kids to bed...so it was just a couple of hours for like 2 days. It didn't cost much more than buying a pioneer avic D1....

oh and thanks for the compliments guys it was my first time doing something like this...

For those of you who didnt know already G-Soup was in an accident today. He's at home now and he's doing better. I thought I'd just spread the news about our NELOC brother. You can read more information here and post your messages for him as well.

already found alot of info on some people that have done it...

there is a dock for it in japan http://minidock.jp/en/index.html

****UPDATE**** got an email from the company in japan not an issue to ship it to the US..
and i know there is a guy here in the US that has made one also ... i'm trying to get in contact with him. http://homepage.mac.com/lazzwaldo/PhotoAlbum2.html

i'm going to get it done by the spring hopefully and i will be posting my progress throughout...

I was contemplating building myself a car computer here in the next few weeks, but I just had I few concerns. Firs off, how to hook it up to the speakers? I would assume using a mini-to-RCA cable out of the audio out headphone jack connected to two one male to dual female RCAs ran to a 4ch amp, then having the 4 channel push the speakers, but how do you hook up the remote wire?? Also, is it a good quality clear sound, I am not sure how many volts the mini-to-RCA cables (pre-outs) creates?

So basically if some body could clear up how I would hook up my two amps, a 4-ch and a bridged 2-ch, to the computer I would appreciate it.

thanks
