Bare with me now, but this just dawned on me today...
The navi unit is really just a computer with a simple operating system. One of its main functions is to look for the navi DVD. It would then just load up and the rest of the functions become operational. This is similar to the way video game consoles function. These consoles cannot operate games without the proper disk/DVD and neither can the navi. Knowing this, wouldn't this be fessible;
-Creating a DVD boot/swap disk
-Use this swap disk to then do other functions like, play a DVD movie.
Folks have been doing this for years with they're Playstations, XBOXs and other formats. I was just thinking, why not us?
