Subwoofer question

(Mods I've posted this thread in Audio section but no feedbacks....)

After getting my GS430 back from the bodyshop will start working on my system Im considering one 12" IDMAX D4/ JL W6 or two JL 10W6V2 and power it with JL 500/1. My system goal is SQ only.
Which setup do you guys think I should go with???
Or any other suggestions?

If your system goal is sound quality i would go with one big 12" and splurge on some dynaudio fronts. Also - don't forget about getting ample power to push all of this stuff EASILY. don't wanna strain the amp and have the sound turn out like crap ya know?

I agree, I'd go with the IDMAX too. Altho it's friggin expensive. The JL500.1 should be enough for it. What speakers do you have up front?

2 sets of Diamond Audio S600s and JL 300/4.

depends on how much trunk space you want to give up, the W6's are good speakers. I had two twelves right when they came out, and they did the job. Now I'm running just a single 10W7 off a 500/1 and some Focals and JLs off a 300/4. I LOVE my sound quality, only thing I would change is the JL's in the back, just swap them out for some more Focals
