i just bought my 92 SC400, and there seems to be some radar thing..... i was wondering what does it do. i heard its called K40 radar detector, correct me if i'm wrong. what is its function.... very new at these technology stuff..... how does it work? like a regular radar? and yes i searched it, but found nothing about it. thanks for the help

its has a lil **** at the bottom of the dash, near the gas and brake pedals. and the light is that lil light next to the light **** (the greenish light). near the bottom left corner. borrowed this pic from a lexusclub member, hope you dont mind. thanx. full explanation if you dont mind. and sorry for posting the thread twice, didnt notice

 

I got one too, but it's malfunctionaing.
Supposedly, it's a 2000 dollar option.

 

Search for 'k40 radar' outside of the SC forum, there are several posts in the Lexus Electronics forum and other models.
