Default Jl 10 W7!!! Need Advice

Hey guys,
I just installed my jl10 w7 into my 98 gs400. The amp thats running the sub right now is a Phoenix Gold 15.0:1. This amp is supposed to be puching like 1500 but for some reason my jl does not knock at all. I just bought this amp and am very disapointed. Someone suggested that I should purchase the JL 500/1. Does anyone know what is the best amp (keep in mind the price) THAT WILL respectfully put enough power into the jl so it will reach almost its full potential?!!!! PLEASE HELP ME! THANKS

-Kenji

How much voltage (through the rca's) is going into the amp? Most PG amps need 8 volts to deliver full power. If your headunit doesnt have 8 volts, try a line driver.
BTW the amp makes full power at 2 ohms.
that amp has enough power to push 3 10w7's (500 wrms ea.)

Its a custom made box. It is square in shape with one side made with plexi glass and the dimensions are 19" x 19"
