Purchased the car used a few months back and found that the stereo is acting a bit flaky. At times the entire left side volume nearly disappears. If I adjust the speaker level all the way to the left, most of the time it will revert back to full power and I level it back out.

Any ideas of the cause and suggestions for fixing? It is the factory Premium Sound system.

Mine does exactly the same thing. Haven't taken apart the unit, but would suspect a dirty volume control. If it's digitally controlled, then its something different altogether.
