I really would like to put a backup camera in the trunk key hole. What camera is a good camera to get and where to get it? Anyone know what a good quality one will run? Also when you remove the lock mechanism can you reinstall it if you remove the camera?
Ive been researching this also as the Eclipse camera is to big.So far I ve been told to find a "Lipstick Camera".They are universal with any HU.Also I dont see why you wouldnt be able to reinstall the lock if you wanted to.Will try to find a link for the camera..
Heres 1 I just found..A little pricey but seems to be better quality than some of the others Ive seen..
That is a good looking camera, I noticed it has 525 lines, and from what I read on another forum that is pretty good. $250 is a bit much for something that wont be used too often but if the picture is good then I wouldnt complain.
I know there are others on this site who have done this, just would like some recommendations on where to purchase and what to look for.
Do yourself a favor and pay for a good one. I have one made by SAVV and it works awesome. Nice picture to it as well.I am updating mine to the "bullet" style camera so it fits int he keyhole without seeing the ring around picture.
So I guess $250 is the sweet spot for a quality camera..May just have to pony up as the Eclipse camera is too friggin big for what I want and it cost about $180 anyway..
